For some who want an arcade ship shooter, where their upgrades can cause great destruction, along with having a support ship to either add more damage or throw off missiles, could have fun. I’m not going to say you can’t enjoy this. Some of these 30+ missions are so brief, that you could very much beat them within a minute. Missions don’t really vary, only occasionally throw a boss fight that you’ll win by spamming at their weak spot.

Instead of experimental privilege, these enhancements you’ve got to grind for are a necessity when later enemies bombard you with missiles or invade a helpless escort that you’ll have to protect out of nowhere at times. Only problem is, those power-ups are of limited inventory and once you’ve run out, you’ll have to pay for more via oil. Battle Group 2 puts you in control of an advanced naval fleet assembled as a last resort against this deadly new enemy. I get the appeal though, as it’s cool to take down several ships at once, say you’ve obtained a better vessel, or had one of the temporary power-ups, such as slowing down time or automatically refilling your abilities. Progression for collecting oil is awfully slow, so replaying past levels to get through the more brutal ones later can be a pain in the rear, padding out the game’s incredibly short length a little too much. Slightly more barrels of oil can be obtained by destruction streaks, given you don’t miss your shots. Everything you accomplish in the destruction from enemies to structural damage can turn into oil, the currency used to either upgrading your ship’s health and ammunition, or buying better ships, that will contain more abilities. Your Battle Group is earths last defense and you must do whatever it takes to stop The Talon in this arcade.

Use your ships powerful weaponry and satellites strike capabilities to defeat your foe. With advanced, stolen military equipment, The Talon is a deadly, global enemy. Each level has you sailing through, blasting enemies by timing the position of your fire, considering how slow the missiles are with your starting ship. Lead your advanced naval fleet against The Talon in Battle Group 2. The ships advertised are of course the later ones you’d have to grind through in order to unlock. I honestly found the dialogue you receive to be pretty generic, so I hardly paid any attention to what was going on far as that goes.

The trailer makes it out to be some global-scale epic war, and perhaps from the story it might.
